Nafisa is a Biochemistry graduate from the UAE University of Al Ain, who worked for 22 years at the Dubai Genetics Centre, Pathology & Genetics Department- Dubai Health Authority as the Head of Unit for the Metabolic Genetics Unit.

Nafisa’a scientific academic background as well as her practical experience as chief Laboratory Technologist for many years has proven invaluable in terms of the knowledge and experience of the laboratory’s diagnostics’ tests aspects of the rare disorders.

Currently, Nafisa is Chair President of the UAE Rare Disease Society.
