2nd International UAE Rare Disease Society Congress ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS NOW OPEN!
Abstract submissions are welcome for consideration for the 2nd International UAE Rare Disease Society Congress, which will be held in Hilton Yas Island Abu Dhabi, UAE from February 29 to March 2, 2024.
We are aiming for high-quality fundamental scientific, translational, or clinical research on all areas of rare disease illnesses. Original contributions are appreciated, however work offering an overview of a certain topic will be considered. We also accept early data from ongoing research, theoretical work, and publications on innovative theories. The primary assessment criteria are the quality of the study, the topic’s relevance to our audience, and the influence on the field.
Abstracts may cover any type of innovative rare disease research, such as preclinical models, clinical studies, case studies, patient-focused studies, technological, economic, or policy research relating to health and social issues. This theme also includes collaborative initiatives and centers of excellence that involve cutting-edge strategies or projects that could be useful to other groups, organizations, patients, governments, academics, or professionals in the rare disease community.
The topics of the abstracts should include innovative models for medical education training, public health awareness, training of healthcare professionals (HCPs), information exchange, or training that advances screening and/or diagnosis.
Abstracts should include subjects like improvements in patient education, fresh approaches to encourage patient participation in the rare disease community, or productive examples of raising patient advocacy and awareness by utilizing social media and technology.
These abstracts should still be on rare diseases as a whole even though they don't suit any of the categories that were previously mentioned.

Deadline to submit the abstracts is on January 31, 2024
At the review stage, the Programme Committee may change the presentation type submitted by the author to ensure the continuity of the congress programme i.e. oral presentation may be changed to poster presentation OR poster presentation to oral presentation. The presenting Author will be informed of any change to their submitted presentation type at the acceptance notification stage. The decision of the programme committee is final.
Oral presentations are very short talks introducing amazing research which can be discussed in more detail at the poster. Thus, oral presenters will also be required to produce a poster for display at the congress.

All abstracts will go through a peer-review carried out by reviewers selected by the 2nd International UAE Rare Disease Society Congress Committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitter by February 03, 2024.
